3B Scientific BASIC Catheterization Simulator, Male or Male/Female Set

Demonstrate realistic male or female bladder catheterization procedures with this basic and effective simulator set. The genital inserts are interchangeable, and can be inserted into the secure holder and held in place with magnets. The insert material is soft and flexible; on the female insert, the labia are movable, and on the male the penis can be stretched and the foreskin is movable. Students can practice all the necessary gestures for catheterization. The material gives a realistic feeling when inserting and removing the catheter into the bladder with realistic resistance and insertion depths. When the catheter is correctly inserted, fluid runs out, just as if a real patient had been catheterized.

The male insert includes three settings for the urethra. In the narrowest setting, catheterization is not possible, leading to the conclusion that a suprapubic catheter is needed.
