The Spectrum has several IC boards in them and are equipped with various sensors to help student learn to prevent over- or under-infusion, and to alert caregivers to issues.

- PC-based pharmacy edited and controlled, customized in-house library of all IV and epidural drugs, along with their safe delivery parameters.
Drug Library Transfer
- Transfer from a wireless network connection to pumps using wireless battery modules. Transfer from the PC to a PDA and then transfer by infrared from the PDA to the pump.
Drug Error Prevention
- Prevents wrong dose mode and dose rate
